Pois sí, "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter" foi inventado fai non moito polo escritor Seth Grahame-Smith, autor tamén da novela "Orgullo, Prejuicio y Zombies" (Pride and prejudice and zombies), versión en clave zombie, terror e humor negro da romántica "Orgullo y prejuicio". Dita obra foi tomada por Natalie Portman, que protagonizará e producirá a súa versión cinematográfica próximamente.
Pois ben, o escritor en cuestión puxo á venta fará como 2 semanas a súa última novela sobre un Abraham Lincoln, que aparte de liderar a guerra de Secesión americana, dedícase a matar vampiros. Todo ocorre por vinganza, cando de novo, un ente das sombras de colmillos afilados mata á súa nai. O joven Lincoln iniciará unha vida de vinganza sobre os vampiros que sorpresivamente o levará á Casa Blanca.
Desquiciado e delirante, non?
Pois a idea foi collida esta vez por Tim Burton, que se aliará por segunda vez logo de "9" con Timur Bekmambetov e levarán ó cine a versión da bizarra novela. Dícese que un dos factores que atraeu o interés para levar á gran pantalla a novela foi este trailer do libro (últimamente xa se fan trailers pa todo...)

DEBBIE RAY is a hard rock machine which developed after 2 band's break up's. DEBBIE RAY formed in Herrljunga, near Gothenburg, Sweden in 2005. All though DEBBIE RAY is a pretty new face on the swedish rock-scene the boys have delivered rock and roll music in various constillations for over 10 years.
The band members are all born and raised in the hard rock era from late 80's and early 90's which has truly influed the band to take this sort of music to a new level in the new decade of decadence. Even though the boys like to call it rock n roll, their music could best be described as heavy sleaze rock.

Swedish rock was always well-known and they have had great bands and lastly seems to be very popular in the scandinavian country. Seems it is not unusual that swedish people have good music culture and rock culture in special. This is something quite difficult to see in latin countries like mine. Debbie Ray is a young band that comes from the split of 2 others and they play a quite decent rock-hard rock with lots of 80's hard rock and hair metal influences. Maybe the first band that came to my mind was Motley Crue, Warrior Soul or the first Skid Row. Their songs are catchy, easy-listening, and the album starts with three shots that bang your brain with great refrains. A must listen if you like 80's Hard Rock.

Ontes fíxose eco unha noticia sorprendente; o líder dos deathmetaleiros (pouco de black lles queda xa) Behemoth, Nergal, podería ir á carcel por un feito acontecido hai 2 anos nun dos seus concertos na cidade polaca de Gdynia. Parece ser que o susodicho rompeu unha biblia e falou do cristianismo coma "o culto máis sanguinario do planeta". Máis tarde o jefe do "Comité de Defensa de Todos os Polacos Contra Sectas" demandou a Behemoth por facer propaganda do satanismo e ofensa de sentimientos religiosos (tipificado como delito pola lei polaca). Parece que se necesitan 2 queixas formales para ir a xuicio, pero como o jefe do comité este era o único que os demandou, todo quedou un pouco no aire ata ahora, que parece que o fulano consigueu convencer a alguén máis para cumplir coa segunda queixa formal. A todo esto, Nergal clama ser non culpable e que o que fai nun escenario suponse que "forma parte do seu espectáculo artístico" e que "non pretende ofender sentimientos relixiosos". Si Adam Darski (o real nome de Nergal) é encontrado culpable, podería ir á carcel por un período de 2 anos.
According to Interia.pl and GazetaPrawna.pl, vocalist/guitarist Adam "Nergal" Darski of Polish extreme metallers BEHEMOTH was formally charged on Monday (March 8) for insulting Roman Catholics.
Darski made headlines in his native country in September 2007 when he reportedly called the Catholic Church "the most murderous cult on the planet" during a BEHEMOTH performance in Gdynia and tore up a copy of the Bible onstage (see video below).
After the incident, Ryszard Nowak, head of the All-Polish Committee for Defense Against Sects sued BEHEMOTH for promoting Satanism. Although a court expert witness on religious matters said that the act of destroying the Holy Bible could offend somebody's religious feelings (a criminal offense under Polish law), the case was discontinued because no one except Nowak accused BEHEMOTH of insulting their religious beliefs. (Under Polish law, there must be at least two formal complaints before a charge is laid. The previous complaint was made in 2008, and recently an unspecified number of other complaints had been filed.)
Nergal is pleading not guilty to the charge.
According to Metal As Fuck, in the first hearing, under cross examination, Darski stated what he does on stage is part of artistic license and it wasn't supposed to offend religious feelings. However, an expert on religious history and studies from Jagellonian University in Krakow stated that every copy of a bible could be considered a religious icon.
There was no judgment ruled against Darski in the first hearing, but now that a second complaint has been filed, the matter will be heard by the courts.
If found guilty, Darski faces up to 2 years in prison.
In a 2009 interview with Decibel magazine, BEHEMOTH bassist Tomasz "Orion" Wróblewski explained that the Bible-tearing incident was by no means a spontaneous outburst. "We'd been doing that for two years on tour before it happened in Poland," he said. "So, we had discussed it many times before. A BEHEMOTH show is a BEHEMOTH show, and BEHEMOTH fans are coming to a BEHEMOTH show. BEHEMOTH fans know what BEHEMOTH is about, know what the lyrics are about, and know at least a little of the philosophy behind the band. So, it's kind of surprising that there are people coming to the shows and feeling offended with what we do onstage. If such a person comes to a show, he comes with the purpose of being offended, I guess, and it shouldn't be like that. We're not offending any particular person. We're just offending the religion that we've been raised in."
Hai todo un debate formado polo que estiven vendo, entre detractores de Nergal (hey! esto xa o fixeron os posers de Manson de Daniel Filethe!) e os fans máis "cérrimos" -e pode que cerrados- (unhas poucas veces acabo de ler que uns cuantos se limpiarían o cú coas follas da Biblia).
Así que por un lado temos a sociedade polaca, da que moitos seguidores de rock e metal se sinten defraudados e avergonzados de ter unhas leis tan duras e conservadoras nestes casos e tamén tendo en conta a cantidade de ferventes católicos apostólicos romanos que viven alí. ¿Estaremos tamén cometendo un acto ilegal se borramos un archivo PDF con fragmentos da Biblia ou se cambiamos un versículo no noso E-Book? ¿Terían os fanáticos cristianos a mesma actitude se rompese un Corán? ¿Tería huevos Nergal a romper un Corán? ¿Dí Xesus tamén no dito libro que a todo o que atente contra as súas páxinas debería ser condenado con cárcel? ¿ou polo contrario non se decía algo así como perdonar e todo eso..?
Por outro temos unha actitude dunha banda que, á que ninguén duda da súa profesionalidade coma músicos e "showmans", pero que tal vez peca dun comportamento digno de quinceañeros que "dan un portazo cando están cabreados" e ademáis son moi molones porque "son moi malos". Nergal ten toda a pinta de ser unha proto-metal-star desde fai moito tempo. E creo que lle gusta atraer a atención a veces con cousas que non veñen a cuento. Tal vez sexa o seu "personaxe", pero non o sei. Con esto quero decir que non, non estou de acordo con que a mellor forma de loitar contra algo sexa queimando/rompendo/usando métodos "violentos" contra elo, neste caso coma contra o cristianismo rompendo biblias. É unha soberana tontería e de certo calibre infantil, baixo o meu punto de vista -se se fai desde unha posición que intenta ser seria, se non é desde esa posición seria, é un circo que non vén a cuento-. Admitámolo, Behemoth fan boa música pero son moi posers. ¿Cánto costa cada un dos traxes que levan a un concerto, por exemplo? ¿e a actitude de "non me xunto cos fans" de Nergal?
Pero con esto tampouco quero decir o contrario, é decir, o feito de romper unha biblia paréceme tal tontería semellante ó feito de ser acusado ante a xusticia por esto mismo.
En canto ó texto da fuente, un pode elexir entre 2 posturas claras no caso de Nergal: 1 - Manter a túa posición, as túas creencias, manterte firme na túa ideoloxía sen deixarse pisar. Aceptar o feito. 2 - Intentar esquivar por todos os medios os feitos para librarse dun castigo que él positivamente sabía que podería ocorrer (de feito o baixista dice que o de romper unha Biblia estivérono discutindo entre os do grupo se sería conveniente ou non facelo en Polonia). Tal e como digo na miña teoría de poser, Nergal escúdase en "cousas do espectáculo", e posteriormente afirma "non querer ofender a ningún sentimento relixioso"....
(collo aire) Chaval, non tes 13 anos, se rompes unha Biblia e ainda encima dices "que o cristianismo é o culto máis sanguinario do planeta", tes que saber á forza que estás ofendendo a moita xente (de feito suponse que o dices coa intención de provocar intencionadamente), ó igual que podería ser ofendida por cancións coma "Christians to the Lions". Así que se és un auténtico satanista, sé un martir pola causa da túa verdad. Acéptao e vaite coma un campeón para o talego. Seguro que cando saias terás ainda máis fans ca antes, que fijo é algo que che interesa máis ca outra cousa.
Resumen, ni unos ni otros. A todo esto fala un auténtico fan de Behemoth, os que me conozcades sabédelo.

The project was founded by the guitarist and orchestrator Vynce Leff in early 2007, already well known in the progressive sphere having produced several successful albums for the British label Cyclops Records. The other members Regis Morin, Tristan Demurger, Nicolas Chaumeaux and Marc Ruhlmann joined soon after and a first EP "Daughter Of The Night" was recorded less than 6 months from the band's inception. It got instant acclaim from reviewers and music fans around the world, as well as several awards and plaudits (Best French Band 2008 - Metalsymphonique.com, Best EP - HeavyLaw.com, etc).
I wouldn't save too many Power-Heavy Metal releases in 2009. It might sound strange coming from me but maybe just the old but still in shape Saxon and UDO are the 2 best albums in relation with Heavy Metal under my point of view. In Power Metal I have found more lack of originality than ever (or maybe I told the same the previous year?). Probably Cain's Offering, though their music is not something you have never heard before, and of course Powerwolf, with great humour and catchy rythms, few more to be sincere. With a big potential, I should say that Whyzdom, female fronted band of symphonic power (yes I know, again a girl singing in a band of the same genre of many others...) got to catch my interest. Quite perfect production for a rookie band with many influences, starting from the typicals Nightwish-Epica-Within Temptation (I must say that she sings quite similar to Sharon) but you can find here some Therionesque moments, and even some growling. All in a classical and boombastic environment that sometimes made me to recall a kind of powermetal version of their compatriots Penumbra. Composing and a bit complex song estructures are over the average others of the same genre. If you like all those bands I ment and if you need some fresh air from the already too stuffy Edenbridges, Visions of Atlantis, Sirenias... Whyzdom might be worth checking for you. Not outstanding. but enjoyable songs.

La semana pasada se llevó a cabo la Gala anual de la comunidad Gay de Bergen, donde se entregan varios premios a las personas e instituciones que han contribuido en la comunidad gay en Bergen, Noruega.
El premio más prestigioso fue entregado a Espedal Kristian (conocido por todos como Gaahl). El ex vocalista de GORGOROTH fue nombrado "homosexual del Año" y aceptó el premio en persona.
"No necesito un premio para ser yo mismo. Pero si esto puede ayudar a otras personas de la misma forma que a mí, es algo positivo", dijo Gaahl al perdiodico local Bergensavisen. Gaahl, de 34 años, mantiene una relación con el joven Robin Jakobsen.
Cuando se le preguntó cómo conoció a su actual pareja, Gaahl dijo que: "Fue después del cierre. Yo estaba en Fincken (bar gay de Bergen). Robin llegó al club en busca de su ex novio. Yo estaba borracho de vino blanco, y de pronto ví una figura brillante en la puerta. Eso fue Robin. Pensé que debía ser mío. "
