Aínda de vez en cando sigo sufrindo eses dichosos mails por parte da xente que conforman cadeas e cadeas de "reenvía esto a x personas".
Cando se reenvían mensaxes é cando se crean as listas para eso chamado Spam que temos nos nosos mails. A forma de non crealas, polo que teño entendido é copiar e pegar, e logo enviar, así que desconfiade de todo o que sexa algo do tipo: "no seas mala persona//si quieres que tu deseo se cumpla//... reenvía esto a tantos amigos".
Non enviedes (a min polo menos :P) nada que vos diga que se queredes eso que se vos promete tedes que reenvialo a 20 personas, normalmente é un gancho. Seguiredes sendo bos amigos, os vosos soños cumpliranse ou non, o msn non cerrará por falta de liquidez dos dueños (jajaj esa foi boa) e non axudaredes a ninguen con 10 céntimos por reenvío a ningunha fundación ficticia, nin a ningunha nena ficticia que esteña a punto de morrer de cáncer (que me proben se eso funcionou algunha vez, e que me proben se esas nenas, -curioso, sempre nenas- existen de verdade, por moito que se adjunten direccións).

Just with my coming back, I found a little mail-surprise (yeh! no internet for 1 week XDD)
Eray and Kaisa are getting married on 16th of May. It will be a small wedding with just relatives, and after they will organize a bigger party with friends at the end of June.
I fear that Istambul is too far from here :( and I fear I cannot join them... though it would be so great to find again tutors and erasmus and of course seeing again the nicest erasmus couple I met... :(
I dont know yet if I would have job... dont know if I will have money.. dont know where I will be exactly in those days... :(
Anyway, great new!! and hope to you, Eray and Kaisa, my best desires for your future... and maybe not this one... but some day in the future I could reach to Istambul or you to Galicia ;)

It's not metal, this is not the unique style that I use to listen, this is more pop-oriented, but one of the best Pop songs I listened in lots of years!
And, of course, finnish. Everytime I think about that, I realize finnish scene is one of the best worldwide with almost every kind of music (Metal overall ;))

Weekend of elections

As some of you might know (unfortunately I don't know how this is known in other countries), Spain had day of elections last weekend and the result was the same as 4 and 8 years ago: the PSOE, party of J.L. Zapatero, won. So socialists have 4 more years of commanding Spain.

Share of popular vote with 99.99 per cent counted

PSOE (Socialists) 43.6%
Popular party (Conservatives) 40.1%
IU (Reformed communists) 3.8%
CIU (Catalan nationalists) 3.1%
PNV (Basque nationalists) 1.2%
Esquerra (Radical Catalan nationalists) 1.2%

Since I study some subjects of politic sciences, I became a total esceptical about politics. I was already before, but now I simply dont trust in anyone. I really dont care about who won or who lost, I can see some good things in some parties and some bad as well, but most of them are bad in everyone. So, yeh, not very correct, maybe, but I cared nothing about voting and I didnt do it. Anyway if I voted it would be to a little one, cause, as I think lots of people in here I am not happy with anyone. But, oddly, spanish ones voted massively to the 2 big ones, PSOE (socialist) and PP (right conservative) (fearing the other big gets more than the other, the "useful vote"). And I think this is bad, it would be much better little ones get more attention under my point of view, but it seems this year people cared less about them (I hope it doesnt go on like this in future, because I think it's not good for the country people divide in 2 parties).

So, results in general:

"Of the total votes, the PSOE got 11.064 million (43.64%) while the PP got 10.169 million (40.11%). A total of 25.514 million voted, or 75.32% of Spain’s total eligible voters.The biggest losers of the elections were the left-wing Izquierda Unida (IU), which lost 3 deputies to end at 2, and Esquerra Republicana of Catalonia, down 8 deputies to 3."

The following four years will be very challenging for PSOE, especially on the economic front. Spain is being hit hard by the subprime crisis and slower economic growth.

"The election was held in the wake of the slaying on Friday of a former Socialist party councilor, Isais Carrasco, by suspected Basque militants.

In his victory speech, Zapatero paid tribute to Carrasco, saying he should have been celebrating the victory with his family.

Carrasco was buried Saturday, a day before the vote. Town halls across Spain honored him at noon Monday by holding five-minute silent vigils.

ETA has killed some 85 people since the late 1960s. Late last year it blamed Zapatero for a lack of progress in peace talks.

The timing of the attack on Carrasco was reminiscent of an election-eve massacre by Islamic militants who killed 191 people in a string of bombings against commuter trains in Madrid on March 11, 2004. Three days after that attack, Zapatero won a surprise victory amid a wave of voter outrage at the ruling conservatives, who blamed the attacks on ETA even as evidence of Islamic involvement mounted."

On the other hand, we had other kind of elections this weekend. The spanish song for the Eurovision contest, something quite controversial here, much more than I expected, cause some purist and other not so purists took very badly the decision of the spanish people, who voted the song for representing our country in that show.
Well the thing comes from the song itself; a parody song of shit-summer-songs that are quite famous here. It's a bad-made song, but with that purpose. And I guess, people voted that song because of 2 main reasons:

- They think Eurovision Contest is a stupid show that maybe the less important are the songs or that all songs are bad enough.
- The positions of the last years of Spain were poor enough, always at the end of the queue (the position it deserved, by the way), so this time, people got tired and voted the "stupid song, that it will be one of the last ones, but at least we will laugh"


My opinion, is that, though I didnt vote, is shared with both points, so I am happy that song represents Spain :)
The bad thing... like other stupid songs that were created like parody or fun of summer hits, this song, "Chiki Chiki"... I fear it will be a total success and people start to like it (as it is already happening). It shows that masses are also quite dumb...

So, this is the representation of Spain in the Eurovision Contest:


Funny that they will have to change the lyrics because he talks about Zapatero and Rajoy in the song, the 2 leaders of the 2 big politic parties of Spain.
It seems it is forbidden to talk about politics in that show-contest.

Viagem até Coimbra (Portugal)

Not 100% recovered from my cough yet, I tried to make this post as soon as I could.
Last friday I went to see my old flatmates in Tallinn Joao and Mara in their place in Portugal.
Thomas wanted to make them a visit, and I joined them seizing the chance. I know later it would be impossible with school stuff and so on...
So, after some hours by bus, and then by train, I reached Coimbra, the home city of Joao.
And few minutes after me Thomas came, so... absolutely in synchronization!
We were joking later... that we spent almost exactly the same money and time.. one coming from Germany (some thousand km. far) and other coming from 500 km. far hehe
So, first stop: drinking some portuguese beer in Joao's parent's house.

Wheather was absolutly warm for being february, I guess that of the climate change again :)
After walking and hanging around Coimbra, we tried to rest for the next day. In fact, it was a physical day :)
Lousa Mountains

Here we started the trip to the Lousa mountains. This is a medieval castle as many others in Portugal (after this trip, I can say, the medieval-reminiscent-country!)
We walked around the nature to reach to one really old-medieval village, lost in the middle of nothing!

Wow! after a long long walk, but really enjoyable through forest and nature we reached the village. It seemed we were in another time, in another civilization.. and the landscape was absolutly awesome from there.

After that, we went out a bit at night in Coimbra. It was strange for me at first that I didnt see too many people in the streets, but I understood it when Joao told me Coimbra is a student's city (like Santiago de Compostela here) and in weekends there were not too many people... students used to go back their homes.

Like a student's city, Coimbra is full of political graffitis in lots of walls, even I could find 2 in reference of the "freedom" of my region.
Sí, incluso aqui en Coimbra había "GZ livre", ainda que me dá que foi algún galego o que escribiu esto, a xente de Portugal sinte afinidade cos galegos, pero non creo que chegue a tanto. Paréceme máis lóxico pensar que algun erasmus de galicia se unira ó innumerable das pinturas políticas nas paredes da cidade.

In Obidos we can find a medieval fortress, that surrounds the old city (like the walls of Lugo) and in the middle a middle ages' castle.

Tomar, the city of the Templar order

This place is absolutly amazing. With the hiking day, this visit made worth the trip.
I encourage everyone, specially if he/she likes the medieval period to visit these places in Portugal. You will end the trip shocked ;)




The Templars also had their time to go to the toilet, though they cared quite few about being some at the same time in the same place XDD

Torres Novas, the home of Mara

This is a small district in Torres Novas where the parents of Mara live.
Full of olive trees, calm, green and relaxing place.
Mara's mother invited us to a lunch there, really interesting! homemade bread (yeeeeeeeeeh) homemade cheese, homemade marmelade, fruits just taken from the tree... the best way to have a long and healthy life... eating the best and the tastiest things!

Another castle (ough so many!!)


So that was in a general sight my trip to Portugal, 4 or 5 really great days, full of visits, good moments and rememoring our times in Estonia, and with the nicest company.
I'm really afraid that after this trip... I dont know what to show next time Mara and Joao come to visit me in Galicia heheh
All is few comparing to these amazing places!
So once more, thanks Joao and Mara for being so good hosts and planning so complete journies!
Thanks also to Thomas, and I wish you have good luck in your new experience in Ethiopia. That's really an adventure!!!
